Simplicity Service

Chartwells’ Simplicity “Cook off on Site” meal service is designed for schools with no kitchen facility or where space or equipment is limited. Simplicity combines traditional cooking methods with modern technology to achieve really outstanding, cost effective and energy efficient results. The specially selected space saving equipment enables prepared food to be cooked off and combined with freshly prepared fruits, salads and delicious breads baked on the school’s own site each day.

Service Method

Main meal entrees and desserts are prepared at our local Creative Kitchen for Schools, blast chilled and delivered in a refrigerated vehicle to the local schools.

Vegetables, fruits, salads, dairy and other ad hoc food items are sourced locally and delivered direct into the local Creative Kitchen for Schools. Individual school orders are picked and packed according to the number and type of meals ordered and delivered out to the schools daily, for preparation and cook-off the following day.

A specialist unit which combines an oven, hotcupboard and lighted servery allow the meals to be cooked off on site to perfection.

Cripsy light pastry pie lids and breaded items, tender juicy roast meats, golden topped pasta bakes with moist centres and a whole range of delicious hot desserts are all a part of Chartwells Simplicity.

Freshly Steamed Vegetables!

Raw vegetables are delivered to the school chilled, in sealed bags, to be freshly steam cooked immediately prior to service.
